注意：①ascetic有浓重的基督教色彩。比较hermit。②anorexic的名词是anorexia（厌食症），其中an-是“无”，orexis是“食欲”。

注意：the arts这里指“文艺”，包括美术、音乐、戏剧、文学等，在大学里指“人文学科”，都必须是复数配定冠词。

注意：gorge主要以gorge oneself on sth.和be gorged with sth.这两种词组形式出现。

注意：①nibble是“小口吃（东西）”，及物或不及物都可。比喻用法：All these expenses are nibbling away at our savings.（《朗文》3版）。②on the sly是词组，多用于口语，强调“此事本不该做”。
