(AMO) made an announcement Wednesday that it will recall some of its contact lens solution made in China after a recent quality check for products slated for the Japanese market revealed they were not up to the asepsis standard, according to a statement posted on the company website on November 22.

报道中的“contact lens solution”就是我们常说的“隐形眼镜护理液”，“solution”在化学中不仅仅指“溶液”，还指“处于溶解状态”。戴过隐形眼镜的人都知道，隐形眼镜护理液除杀菌外，必须除掉留在镜片上的蛋白，这就是其“溶解”的功效了。

另外，文中的“up to the asepsis standard”指“无菌性达到标准”，汉语里常说的“达标”可以用“to meet the standard”或者“to be up to the standard”来表达。
