The deputy press secretary for the US Department of Homeland Security was arrested Tuesday for using the Internet to seduce what he thought was a teenage girl, who was an undercover Computer Crimes detective. Doyle had a sexually explicit conversation with the "girl" and sent her pornographic movie clips via the Internet.

报道中的Computer Crimes detective是“反电脑犯罪侦探”，前面加了形容词undercover则强调了这位侦探的真实身份“密探”。Undercover的英文释义是：engaged or employed in spying or secret investigation（做密探的），如：undercover FBI agents（从事秘密调查的联邦调查局密探）。在美国俚语中，undercover也可以直接作名词，指“从事秘密工作的特工人员”。

另外，undercover也可指“performed or occurring in secret”（秘密进行或发生的），举个例子：To remain undercover, he had to pretend to be Peluso's loyal servant, which meant sacrificing his own dignity and reputation.（为了不露马脚，他不得不装成是佩鲁索的忠实仆从，这意味着他得牺牲自己的尊严与名誉。）
